Guest list triage

Your guest list, sorted before you open the spreadsheet.

HeyJEIN turns a messy pile of contacts and RSVPs into one clean, triaged list — built for people who run real events, not just track them.

The name

jein /jaɪn/

German. A portmanteau of ja (yes) and nein (no) — what people actually say when the honest answer is "maybe," "depends," or "ask me again next week." Most tools force a yes or a no before you're ready to give one. HeyJEIN makes "maybe" a real, trackable status — not a stalled decision cluttering your list.

The problem

Building a list is never actually one task.

01Three contact sources that don't agree with each other.
02Deciding who's a definite yes, who's a maybe, and who you haven't thought about yet.
03Redoing all of it the week before the event, because half of it changed.

How it works

Three steps, in order — the same order every time.

01

Bring your people

Import contacts from wherever they already live — email, spreadsheets, past event lists. No manual re-entry.

02

Triage, don't just tag

Every contact gets an honest, fast status — Yes, No, Task if it needs a real decision, or Maybe if that's the truth for now.

03

Ship a real list

Export a finished, de-duplicated list — ready for invites, name badges, or your own outreach.

RSVP tracking, coming next

We're building RSVP right into the same list, so responses update it live — instead of living in a separate inbox or spreadsheet. No more cross-referencing two systems to know where you actually stand.

Why HeyJEIN

Built by people who couldn't find a tool that treated list-building as the real work it is — not an afterthought before the "real" event software kicks in. No ad model, no selling your contact data. You own your list.

Stop rebuilding your list the night before.
